Minimum Stay Periods

All Year Round:

The Totara Tree Tent has a minimum stay period of two nights on all weekends (Friday/Saturday night) and single nights can be booked during the week (Sunday - Thursday nights)

RATES

Peak (October - April)

- $395 per couple (catering can be added for an additional $179) for Friday and Saturday

- $385 per couple (catering can be added for an additional $179) for Sunday - Thursday

Off Peak (May - September)

- $380 per couple (catering can be added for an additional $179) for Friday and Saturday

- $329 per couple (catering can be added for an additional $179) for Sunday - Thursday

All public holidays and public holiday weekends:

- $435 per couple (catering can be added for an additional $179)

Your Tree Tent Experience will include:

Hotel luxury bedding and linen 
A seamless solar-powered off-grid luxury experience. 
An outdoor “under the stars” bath experience

*Please note, you need to bring your own food to cook at your glam camping tent for the self-cater option. We highly recommend cooking onsite to absorb the full Totara Tree experience.

Catering

FULL CATERING FOR 2 PEOPLE - $179 PER NIGHT

A self-cook entree, dinner of either steak, salmon, chicken or vegetarian, dessert plus alcoholic and non-acholic beverage options. Cooked and continental breakfast, fruit bowl and light snacks.

Booking Terms

Introduction

By making a booking through our website (here) or Air BNB , you, as the person making the booking, agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (Booking Conditions).

Full payment is required upon booking. Once you have booked on our website and paid your booking is considered confirmed and a receipt and confirmation will be sent to the email you have provided in the booking process. 

Guest cancellations and date changes

Cancellation or date change outside of 7 days from check in – 50% of total cost will be forfeited.

Cancellation or date change within 7 days from check in – 100% of total cost will be forfeited.

Host Cancellations

Exceptional or unforeseen circumstance
Cliffside reserves the right to cancel a booking at any time in the event of exceptional or unforeseen circumstances.

This right will only be exercised in good faith and in exceptional circumstances such as: In the unlikely event the guest may elect to receive a full refund or to credit the booking to another available date. 

Cancellation for breach
Cliffside may terminate a booking at any time if they, reasonably believe that there is, or has been, a breach of these Booking Conditions by you or any guest or visitor. All amounts paid are forfeited and, where such termination occurs you and all guests and visitors must immediately leave the property.

Weather
Cliffside would be in touch to cancel you stay if there was any serious weather event that may affect your stay. If you are worried about the weather and Cliffside has not been in touch, this means your stay is perfectly fine to go ahead and this is very normal West Coast weather. Our tents are built to handle above 150km winds.

Safety and hazards

Cliffside is situated on clifftops and there are hazards both natural and man-made. You accept that you, and any guests or visitors, enter the property at your own risk.

Participation by you and any guests or visitors in activities, such as, outdoor baths, climbing trees, walking on the property and any other activity on the property, is done so at your and their own risk. To the extent permitted by law, Cliffside does not accept any liability for accident, loss of property or personal injury during your stay.

Please stay within the area of your tent and on the road at all times.

Children & pets

Children and pets are not permitted onsite or at Cliffside accommodation due to risk from the surrounding environment and terrain. 

WHAT TIME IS CHECK IN/CHECK OUT?

Totara Tree Tent is located 15minutes inland from Cliffside, on a working farm. There is a self-check-in only for Cliffside Couples Glamping. Please study your pre-arrival email prior to your stay which includes all information to begin the self-check-in. 

• Check in is after 3pm on the day of arrival and before dark* 
• Check out is before 10am on the day of departure. 

*Please note: You must self check-in no later than 5pm in winter months or 6.30pm in summer months. Once dark it can be extremely hard to find your tent. Please arrive well before dark.

ACCESS & PARKING

Please following the driving and parking direction on your arrival email. 

Park inside the fenced off concrete pad - this is a working farm and the cows may decide to bless you with their presence :) 

BED & LINEN

The tents sleep a maximum of two, in a luxurious king-sized bed with hotel quality linen, bedding and towels all provided.

FACILITIES

Cliffside glam camps are off-the-grid, and all power is supplied via solar panels and gas. 

• The tent ensuites have a pleasant to use odourless composting toilet, sink, and a hot shower.
• Cooking with your meals are done on a gas BBQ. - **please note, you need to bring your own food to cook at your glam camping tent for the self-cater option.
• Food is stored in the small solar powered fridge and will be fully stocked when you arrive. *Providing you have purchased the full food and beverage package. 
• The glam camps have heating so it's cosy all year round or are equipped with cosy blankets and hot water bottles. But please bring your winter woollies in the chilly months as you are in a glamping tent.
• Tents are solar-powered and guests are encouraged to conserve power.
• Lighting works in the tents just like at home - flick the switch!

• You will have full mobile reception at our Totara Tree Tent.

WHAT TO BRING

• Warm clothes to sit outside and enjoy the view. 
• If you have not purchased the full food and beverage package you will need to bring all food required for the duration of your stay. Please bring items only that can be cooked on a BBQ.      
• Insect repellent and sunscreen.
• Let us cover all the rest.

PAYMENTS

Payment for booking must be made in full at the time of booking.

All reservations paid for by credit card will attract a 2.5% surcharge. American Express Credit Cards attract a 4% surcharge.
